Grieg Connect, one of the leading software service providers for ports and terminals, bases an office in Tampere, Finland. The office will be staffed by Lauri-Tapio Korhonen and Dan Steinnes who both have long experience working with logistics and software solutions. With this investment, Grieg Connect aims to take the next step as the preferred supplier for digital services to ports and terminals in the Nordic region.

Norwegian tech company Grieg Connect expands its Nordic presence with a new establishment in Karlstad in Sweden. Onboard are Tord Svanqvist and Johan Nordh, who both have extensive experience working with ports and terminals.

The ‘digital port infrastructure’ project is progressing, and the focus has shifted to the part that provides the most time savings and value for digital port calls – a new portal connecting agents, ports, and terminals seamlessly together.

Grieg Connect has entered into an agreement with Port of Borg in Fredrikstad to deliver a combined port and terminal operating system (TOS). The system will simplify workflows to ensure efficient port calls, gate handling and container moves. 

Customs clearance involves validating and approving the state of cargo passing through a a port to both commercial and legislative parties. Read more on out efforts to digitalise and remove some of the manual steps in customs handling.
