What do you do at Grieg Connect, Sofie?
At Grieg Connect I work as a project manager and business consultant, which means leading and executing implementations of our PMIS named Port at our customers. I have worked with projects in the ports of Luleå and Piteå, and led the implementation for Port of Örnsköldsvik. Right now I am responsible for the implementation at the Port of Borg in Fredrikstad, Norway’s second largest port, Sofie continues.

What background is required to work as a business consultant?
I am a Gothenburg native who now lives in Karlstad after studying to become a civil engineer in industrial economics. Since then, I have learned the port’s operations and processes by working with customers hands-on to configure and implement the PMIS system with contracts and price rules, rent and assets and our new module resource planning.

What are you looking forward to in Grieg Connect – what is your dream project
I know that we sell in Europe now and that opens up opportunities, but if I had to choose, it would be a project in Japan, my dream destination! Implementing Port and looking at Sumo wrestling would be something, says Sofie
Sofie joined Grieg Connect in early 2024 and has since become an invaluable part of our Swedish team and office culture in Karlstad. As the person in charge of our after-work evenings, she has ensured that both new and old colleagues enjoy themselves – a task she takes on with the same energy as the project deliveries.
